Chocolate covered hearts saturated with organic laughter and pure, creamy, golden, buttery bliss sauce ;-)

This morning began with a beautiful fresh squeezed juice.

Carrots, celery, lemon, ginger and beet :-) So beautiful and so sweet! Plus totally energizing and revitalizing!

What a wonderful way to wake up in the morning! It sure beats coffee! Wait, no it doesn't. That's a lie. I LOVE drinking coffee in the morning! I guess they each have their place and serve their purposes in their own way. :-)

Then I made buckwheat pancakes with almond butter date sauce. If you have not tried this almond butter date sauce, I highly recommend that you do! It's kinda my favorite thing ever right now. So sweet! But in a good for you kinda way. It's amazing how naturally sweet dates are!

Yummy :-)

Check out the doggies today.

Kona was just laying there when Django came up and laid his little head on her. She was chill with it at first until....

Django decided to get his bone and start chewing it on her. Kona was like, WTF man?

But, eventually she was like, whatever, I'm too lazy to do anything about it. Carry on.

Yesterday, Woody and I drove down to San Francisco to hang out with my dear friend, Dara who was visiting from Canada. We met at the yoga teacher training that I did in Mexico. I had only seen her once since then and that was over a year ago, so it was amazing to see her and catch up. We have a beautiful connection and have incredibly similar eyes! See?

:-)

Dara, Woody and I walked around on Haight street, checking out funky little shops and eventually made our way to Magnolia Pub and Brewery where they have good beer and play The Grateful Dead and Phish. It's pretty chill:-) Dara had a hard cider and Woody had beer. I wanted both and neither at the same time.....so I just sipped off both off their glasses. Yes, I cheated. I was planning on going this whole month without drinking any alcohol, but you know what? I'm human and imperfect and life is short! And I had a damn good time. A few sips of booze isn't going to kill me or make me want to beat myself up over it. No regrets. Today is a new day and I'm not drinking today. It's all about balance. :-)

After that, we met up with two of Dara's friends and went to Millennium for dinner. Holy Goodness! If you are ever in San Fran, do yourself a favor and go to Millennium. You could totally order anything off the menu and not be disappointed. It's exquisite. It's all vegetarian, they use fresh and organic produce and support small farms, sustainable agriculture, recycling and composting. Amazing!

Now, let me just warn you. I am NOT a photographer. Hopefully you'll be able to look past the dark and unfocused photos and see the soul of the moment and appreciate the raw quality of the photos. Plus, it's not really about the photos, right? It's about the experience. I hope that you can get a sense of the experience regardless of how crappy my photos are!

I love your hair!!
That jucie looks really good :] I've never had a "real" juice like that before. I'd love to have a juicer, though :P
and that almond butter date sauce sounds really good, too. i love making nut butters into sauces and using dates to sweeten stuff!!

Thanks! Girl, you have never had a "real" juice before?!? Well, go get yourself a juicer and hop on the band wagon! Juicing is pretty amazing :-) I think it's a worthy investment for sure! I was actually thinking about getting a better juicer soon. Mine doesn't handle greens like spinach and kale very well.
