Sweet Morsels of Delicious Delight!

Hey sweet morsels of delicious delight! Okay, that might have been a little much. But it was seriously the first thing that came to mind! How weird. I'm not gonna lie, I'm drinking a beer right now and sometimes beer makes weird/ridiculous/silly things come out of my mouth. But, oh well. I'm feeling free :-) Keepin' it real, so to speak.

I spent this morning opening my heart, dropping into my body, tuning into my breath, sweating, flowing and celebrating the sweetness that is yoga :-) It had been several weeks since I'd gone to a class and it was a very sweet return. I am hoping with all my heart that I can continue to show up on my mat and get back into a regular practice again because I missed it tremendously.

I really like that I can spend a beautiful morning practicing yoga and then enjoy a relaxing evening with a beer and not feel guilty or that I'm being contradictory with my actions. Keeping a balance, as always.

Speaking of balance.

It definitely took a little balance to navigate that tree yesterday! Thank you Woody and Corby for giving me the boost I needed.

I spent all day yesterday playing in the woods with Woody (hehe), the doggies and our good friend, Corby. When we got to this pine tree, Woody and Corby climbed it like monkeys in seconds. However, I  needed the assistance of BOTH boys to get up there! Once I did though, I was like....WOW. It was an experience. I don't sit up in trees nearly enough. This is going to sound totally hippy-dippy, but I could totally feel the tree breathe and it gently danced underneath me as I climbed around and sat on its branches. It was magical.

It was SO magical in fact, that somehow Woody started to grow into the tree and become one with it.
!!!

Then this happened.
I've never been one to follow the rules. I'll ride my fricken dog, horse or unicorn wherever I damn well please! That is a unicorn in the sign, right?

Now, onto a far more serious note. I have reviews and recipes for you!

Somehow I was blessed with the joy and pleasure of receiving a couple free samples of Enjoy Life foods to try out and review.

Double Chocolate Crunch Granola

 Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mega Chunks

 Enjoy Life Products are AWESOME!
All of their products are free of the following top allergens:
-wheat
-dairy
-peanuts
-tree nuts
-egg
-soy
-fish
-shellfish

My favorite products are the Semi-Sweet Mini Chocolate Chips (that I use in almost ALL of my baked goods) and Perky's Crunchy Flax cereal that I love to eat in a bowl with milk or use in Cookie Dough Balls or granola recipes.

Speaking of granola! The Double Chocolate Crunch Granola that I had the wonderful opportunity of sampling is amazing and delicious! It's not something that I would eat for breakfast every day since it is pretty sweet but it's wonderful as a snack or dessert!

Especially when you bake it into some cookies!

Fudgy Granola Bite Cookies

1/2 cup Pamela's Gluten-Free Baking Mix
1/2 cup Enjoy Life Double Chocolate Crunch Granola
3 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp coconut sugar
2 tbsp peanut butter
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup coconut milk
2 tbsp Enjoy Life Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mega Chunks

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Then simply mix all your dry ingredients together in a bowl. In a separate bowl, combine all the wet ingredients and mix well. Then mix the two together. Prepare your baking sheet by lightly greasing it. Place spoonfuls of the dough onto the baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes. Chocolatey fudgy delight! I *might* even go as far as to call them "sweet morsels of delicious delight!"

Another option for sweet morsels of delicious delight:

No-Bake Fudgy Granola Balls

1/2 cup raw cashews
1/2 cup dates
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp sea salt
1 cup Enjoy Life Double Chocolate Crunch Granola

In a food processor or blender, process the first five ingredients. Once it starts to clump together nicely, pour it out into a bowl and add the granola. Roll into perfectly bite sized (you know this by now!) "sweet morsels of delicious delight!"

Or you can just go the simple route and throw the granola into a bowl with milk and get down on it that way.

I did!

It's good stuff.

And the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mega chunks are awesome too! They're huge! And so chocolatey. But I must be honest. When it comes down to it, I think I might prefer the mini-chocolate chips. They are so tiny and cute and tasty and sweet and have good vibes! Just kidding about that last part. But really...I love them.

And I love YOU! Thank you for reading. I hope that you have a beautiful morning, day and night! Lots of love and light to each and every one of you!

Nice! I am not much of a tree climber, but I think that's going to change now, after having such a profound experience the other day. Let me know if you try the recipes! :-)
Just wanted to let you know something ironic... I had commented on the beautiful tree you were climbing and was thinking to myself how huge and thick that branch is you all were climbing on, then today I was at Devil's Lake in Wisconsin and came upon a HUGE pine tree that I climbed and was reminded of this post! :)
So glad you got back into yoga :) I miss it too! I love love Enjoy Life, the mini chips are FANTASTIC in oatmeal!!! Have a fabulous Wednesday!

Yes, I agree! <3
I love how moderate you are! It's always taken effort for me to be a moderate person, because I naturally have such an extreme, all-or-nothing personality. My mom always told me that moderation is best way to live. Having a little bit of this and a little bit of that makes me the happiest. I also find that I feel the healthiest when I live more moderately. Yoga and beer in the same day...go for it, girl!

Thanks Jen! You're awesome. I feel you on the joy and peace that moderation can bring. A little bit of this and a little bit of that! Thanks for supporting my yoga and beer habits! <3

Haha! Yes, I may be a bit of a chocoholic. But, I got no shame in it! ;-) You are so sweet! Thanks for the link love. I just tried to comment on your post and it said there was an error and that I needed to enter a password! I don't know what's up with that. I will try again later to see if it works. Have a beautiful day, love!

Looks like beautiful time and yummy sweets, I'm totally craving fudge granola cereal now!! I love reading about your healthy lifestyle, trips, your garden, yoga and all the cooking. I always try to do the same in my life but sometimes I can't find the time (or money to do it all) and I was just wondering How do you both do it?? I know DEDICATION is definitely key.. but where do you and Woody work or have jobs that give you that type of flexibility and time? or are you guys extremely gifted and don't have to work jobs? I would love to know!

HI Sherry! Thanks for saying such sweet things. I understand your curiosity, but I prefer to leave my work/financial situation separate from my blog! Sorry I can't help you out with the whole time/work/money management thing. I think the secret is to figure out what works best for YOU! :-)
