Hey beautiful loves! Happy Friday :-) I hope you are all having a joyful day filled with love and gratitude. Are you looking forward to the weekend?
It's been a gorgeous sunny day today and I've been feeling grateful for fresh squeezed juice and fresh picked greens from the garden. Glorious!
I worked in the garden with Woody today and did a little more planting. I'll post some updated pics soon. I also had an amazing weight lifting session with my personal trainer today and drove home feeling amazing, singing at the top of my lungs. :-) Does anyone else LOVE singing in their car as much as I do?
After today, Woody and I have one more day of our cleanse and then we are DONE! I really wish I could tell you that I had some life altering experiences on this cleanse. I was thinking that there would be some noticeable differences in my energy level, mood, skin tone, sleeping patterns, um...eliminations. Or something! But in all honesty, I felt the same! To me this is an indication that I need more of a drastic cleanse OR I'm already super healthy and taking good care of myself so I don't really need to cleanse! I'm going to go with the latter. :-) What do you think?
Once the cleanse is over, I'm going to continue with my usual healthy eating habits.
Like juicing.
Making lots of smoothies (in a bowl!)
Eating big salads and veggie bowls.
But, I'm also really looking forward to adding some things that I've missed back to my diet.
Like EGGS!
And bread! Mmmm sandwiches...
Sushi!
Cereal!
Muffins!
Pancakes!
Coffee!
Wine? Sure!
And.....CHOCOLATE. Sweet, sweet chocolate :-)
YAY!
Oh, and I can't forget beer! I know one person who's REALLY excited to drink a beer.
Yeah, we're BOTH pretty excited.
To me, that is the SWEETNESS of life. Maintaining a healthy life-style and eating well but also giving yourself the pleasure of indulging in what you love.
Questions for you, my friends:
Do you have any wonderful weekend plans?
What are you feeling grateful for today?
What are you currently feeling EXCITED about?
Have a beautiful day! Much love sweet ones <3

congrats with almost being done with the cleanse!!! im excited for you to be able to eat dessert + bread again haha =) and i also agree with you that the reason you did not experience anything "life-changing" during the cleanse is because you already live an EXTREMELY healthy lifestyle! i honestly believe in the 80/20% concept, which is the idea that if you're eating healthfully and nutritiously 80% of the time, the other 20% of the time you can treat yourself and in the bigger picture, you'll be fine. im not averse to cleanses but i feel like theyve only come about in the last 50 years or so? (not sure about this) - i would say that for the most part there are TONS of healthy people out there who have never done a single cleanse (and i think the history of humankind shows this also!) - not that there is anything wrong with doing a cleanse, but i dont know if they are actually NECESSARY for good health, if you know what i mean? i think it just also affirms the fact that it's your lifestyle in the long-term that matters - and it's good to make lifelong habits rather than temporary changes (which is why diets dont work!) anyway, that's my two cents, which may or may not be correct haha - just a few thoughts =)
hope you have a beauttiiiiful weekend!

It's too bad that you didn't really notice any kind of positive effects after the cleanse, but at the same time, it just means that you probably already lead an extremely healthy lifestyle and don't need any kind of cleanses. Our bodies come equipped with a pretty good waste management system, and I think that as long as we don't overwhelm that system, it does fine cleaning things up without our help. So yeah, like you said, eat well and indulge in what you love :D

Like Amanda said - I think the fact that the cleanse didn't prove to show any positive changes goes to show that your HEALTHY and fueling properly already. GO YOU!
