It's all about the simple things.

I am so happy right now. I feel blissed out, blessed and full of gratitude. My belly is full, I'm surrounded by sweet and loving friends and I have a smile on my face. The sun was shining bright today and my body and heart were flooded with warmth.

My friend, Lauryn (aka: Sneow) and I left home at 5:30 this morning and hit the road to So Cal. The drive went smoothly and quickly and we arrived a little after noon. I spent the afternoon catching up with some friends and watching my friend's little baby smile, laugh, play and splash around in the pool. Babies are the most amazing little creatures, aren't they? You can learn so much from watching them. They are so gentle and pure and present.

This evening I had the great pleasure of going out to eat with my friend, Jennae to a raw food restaurant called 118 Degrees. It was so good I thought I had died and gone to Heaven. I sat there with Jennae in total awe of how beautiful and delicious the food was. I couldn't even believe it. The photos don't fully express the beauty and magnificence of the food. But here they are anyway :-)

Kale salad: Chopped marinated Kale, Olives, Walnuts and cider dressing.

Pesto Rolls: Delicately rolled coconut wrap with pesto and fresh vegetables topped with marinated mushrooms and basil cheese.

Butternut Squash Ravioli: served warm over wilted spinach in a sun-dried tomato marinara. Served with fresh herbs and basil cheese. (Unbelievably delicious! I almost cried. It made me feel so happy to be alive!)

Such an amazing feast!

Jennae and I were about half-way through our dessert when she exclaimed, "Oh no! You forgot to take a picture!" Haha. Oops :-)

Sweet Jennae enjoying our amazing chocolate :-)

Love <3

I am so content. I have no complaints. It's all about the simple things.

Good night! I love you Woody! <3 (I hope you're reading this)

There is SO much food on each of the plates. We don't have a raw restaurant here [we live in a cowboy town so all there is is steak!] but when we go to Vancouver and hit up the raw restaurants out there, the portions are SO small. Everything there looks amazing! I'm happy to hear you had a lovely time :)

I love how positive and thankful you are-- it truly warms my heart :)
Can you just skip over to Santa Cruz next? No, I mean really, it's not too long away from LA after all :)
Looks like you're having a wonderful time with your friend! I'm jealous you got to eat a raw food restaurant- I'm sure I would've loved it! Maybe next time that can be US!
